Queen of the Netherlands visited new sculpture project 'Village Views'

Beatrix the queen of the Netherlands (herself a sculptor) visited on the 19th of June 2009 the first fase of the sculpture project ‘Dorpsgezichten’ (Village Views). This project is an initiative from sculptor Adri A.C. de Fluiter and the foundation NatureArt Drenthe. The foundation was organising yearly an international art in nature symposium (with exhibition) in the forest near the small village Schoonoord from 2005 till 2011. This village belongs to the municipality Coevorden. Every year10 artists were selected on certain themes.

On the 19th of June it was the first fase of the project with realising 7 artworks. The queen was visiting them all and she was very pleased by the result. ‘Amazing’she said ‘such a quality and such nice, very well chosen locations’.
