In looking at the artworks relating to the Legend site I see that the works evoke secrets that the artist believe exist in the land and through the artistic concepts come through in various creations. I love the idea of starting with a concept and developing it through to reality. All the artists involved I believe have responded to the landscape uniquely and all have looked at the landscape in response to how we as humans have effected it.

Looking back on the Natuurkunst Drenthe project, it is with deep respect for the way you and Truus have prepared the conditions the best way for each artist. I am happy to have had the opportunity to be under your leadership twice. From my 13 years of experience from similar nature projects in Norway, being part of the organizing team as well as visual artist in the projects, I know what it takes of time, effort and perseverance to carry it all out.

The province of Drenthe is from my experience a perfect place for art in nature projects. The cultural history, the variety in landscape, open spaces, small forests and canals. I really hope the municipality of Drenthe understand the importance of your work and together with other official funds gives the necessary financial support to continue your ideas of a permament site for nature art in the Netherlands.

Adri;

This is a fantastic project that connects to ideas about the nature of a specific place and its myths. My suggestion for you is that you contact some ethnographers studying myths as revelatory of cultural belief systems. You must have some local universities where the Cultural Anthropology and Ethnography departments can connect you with further sources of information and funding. Best of luck on your project.

Regards.
